Doctors making
a difference
The Midwest DPC Alliance was formed in 2016 by a small group of Kansas City-area physicians operating independent DPC practices. Since then, our organization has helped dozens of doctors rediscover the joy in medicine.
How We Help
We provide DPC practice owners with education, resources, and a sense of community. Our collective voice also helps educate the public, employers, media, and other healthcare providers about the Direct Primary Care model.
-
DPC practice owners who meet the following criteria:
Licensed physician (MD/DO) or NP working with a collaborating member physician.
Owns & operates a “DPC” practice defined as:
Provide traditional “primary care” services covering basic services, such as preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care (injuries, illness, etc.)
Charge a periodic (monthly or other) membership fee
Not bill traditional insurance plans for primary care services.
Approved by current members
Other providers & staff: DPC practice owner members may invite their clinic providers (physicians, nurse practitioners, etc.) and staff to participate and attend our meetings.
-
If you are a doctor or other healthcare provider curious about the DPC model, we are happy to chat with you. However, our membership is restricted to physicians who own a DPC practice or are immediately planning to do so.
-
We welcome any medical student or resident interested in the DPC movement!
-
We love to see the direct-care model expand beyond primary care! In fact, we partner with specialists, ancillary providers, and suppliers to help provide our member practices and their patients with transparently priced resources.
